AI Literacy by Grade Level

Every resource is differentiated into four grade bands, with scaffolding notes so you can adjust up or down.

Grades K-2

Foundations and safety: what a computer “brain” is and is not, kind and safe technology habits, and first conversations about smart devices.

Grades 3-5

How AI works: sorting AI vs. not-AI, simple explanations of training data, and first guided prompt practice.

Grades 6-8

Ethics and bias: fairness in algorithms, deepfakes and media literacy, data privacy, and structured classroom debates.

Grades 9-12

Critical evaluation: academic integrity, AI in careers and society, policy questions, and evaluating AI output for accuracy.
